Click Click Bang, the second feature from Philit Productions, has made Ksh. 2.5 million during its opening weekend, Director Philip Karanja has revealed.
The film which opened this weekend to a sold-out premiere at Nairobi Cinema follows Kev, a young talented footballer (played by Basil Mungai, Kina) whose dreams are shattered when he’s pulled into a dangerous world of crime.

Maria’s Nyakundi Isaboke plays the ruthless but philanthropic thug Kasisi withJacky Vike (Papa Shirandula), Shigwan Shiku, Amina Hussein, and Idah Alisha (Mother-in-Law) also starring.
Click Click Bang is based on a true story narrated by Abel Mutua (the film’s writer) on his ‘Young & Stupid’ YouTube series with now has over 260k views. The film builds on the success of Philit’s debut feature, A Grand Little Lie, which was nominated for Best Movie East Africa at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) but lost out to Uganda’s The Girl in the Yellow Jumper (Loukman Ali).
