Lupita Nyong’o To Voice a Character In Netflix’s ‘Human Resources’

Lupita Nyong’o will voice Asha the Shame Wizard alongside other notable guest stars like Helen Mirren and Janelle Monae.

Lupita Nyong’o To Voice a Character In Netflix’s ‘Human Resources’

Lupita Nyong’o will voice Asha the Shame Wizard in the new Big Mouth spin-off Human Resources, premiering on Netflix on 18 March 2022.

While a number of voice actors from Big Mouth reprise their roles, Human Resources also features notable guest stars alongside Nyong’o like Dame Helen Mirren as Shame Wizard Rita St. Swithens, Janelle Monae as Claudia, and Hugh Jackman as Dante the addiction angel.

According to Netflix, Human Resources pulls back the curtain on the daily lives of the creatures – Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards and many more – that help humans journey through every aspect of life from puberty to parenthood to the twilight years.

Previously Nyong’o has also voiced the character Raksha in The Jungle Book; Maz Kanata in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and animated series Star Wars Forces of Destiny and Star Wars Rebels, and Sema in the Kenyan animated superhero series Super Sema where she’s an executive producer.

Nyong’o is also the narrator of Discovery’s nature documentary series Serengeti, which earned the actress her first Emmy nomination (Outstanding Narrator category0 in 2020.
